The Southern Dandenongs Landcare Group was formed in August 2007 to protect, preserve and enhance the remnant vegetation of the southern section of the Dandenong Ranges, particularly in water catchments which are home to locally threatened platypus populations.

Our mission is to engage and educate local residents in how to care for their increasingly threatened local bushland on private and public land and the very special creatures dependent on this bushland. We aim to enrich local community life and preserve our natural heritage for posterity.
